Our Thanksgiving

I know Thansgiving happened last month in Canada, but it was just yesterday down here. I decided to take pictures of our day, which was a low key, fun day at home with just the five of us.

Nathan helped me make pumpkin pies.

Luke took lots of pictures with his new camera - a cool Goodwill find.
(I LOVE that store!)

 Juneau got a belly rub.

Nathan put the kitchen stool on his head.

 Jake napped.

 The pumpkin pies looked yummy.

I went for a walk in the back yard & found a violet.

Then I spied our neighbors' goat peeking over our fence,

...and I found this cute little giraffe on our deck.

The girls in the hen house were relieved we weren't eating chicken for our special dinner.

...and the boys played monopoly with their Daddy. It was a really good day & we are SO thankful!

Community Service

The boys & I like to do service projects but often they aren't deemed "old enough". They were excited to help with a bulk mailing recently at a local pregnancy center. They were great little workers - Mama was proud. :)

...lots of action...not a lot of great shots :)

This is at 14 wiggly weeks.

Our Day In Court

It may seem a little anti-climactic, since we have been home from Ghana for two years already, but today we went to court to get our official state re-adoption papers. Yes!!! Next come US birth certificates - a BIG deal! This pic is the boys with Miss Beth, who was so sweet to them & processed our paper work.

Hiking

I got some great pictures on our hike last weekend. We made loads of noise so we saw zero wildlife but we had fun & got lots of exercise. Romeo worked on his  "going out in public" skills.

Crafts

We made messes crafts again...sometimes I wonder if it's worth it. The boys don't really love it & I just keep encouraging them along in it to help them to be well rounded, try new things etc. Is there such a thing as a book of crafts just for boys? The only craft I've tried that they ADORE is decorating Christmas cookies with candy, so we always do that at least once each December. Any other good ideas for Christmas crafts?

Growing

My Mom asked me how big Romeo is now...

He is 30 lb at 12 weeks!

"Candy Day"

...as my boys sometimes call it (you can tell what the focus is for them!!) was a lot of fun this year.

First they did a "cute" shot for me.

The ever popular "be silly" shot was last.

They even shared their treats with me. Heh heh! :)
