Unrelated to Adoption But Fun...
This is what I see when I look out into my back yard each morning. The "crew" is always ready to eat!

Plans
Mark & I are planning to fly out Sept. 6 if all goes well. It will be very cool to be back in Africa again but WAY, WAY, WAY more exciting to meet my two younger sons!
Thanks for your prayers everyone! IMMENSELY appreciated!

STRESSSSSSSSSSSSSS!
OK, I'm trying to get myself & Mark to Ghana asap because I can hardly wait to finally snuggle my little sons up in my arms! But....we are having all kinds of paper work challenges. They probably wouldn't normally faze me much but at this emotional time...ugh! I can't sleep at night without meds.
We're looking at going over in the next 2-3 weeks...I hope!!!

What Getting Ready Looks Like...
STRESSED! (Just "being real" here)
Three Shots (nearly fainting - so embarrassing!)
Visa applications
More ID photos
Lots of visits to the post office
Packing (because it's never to soon to pack when you're excited to go, you know!)
Figuring out the last few adoption documents
Applying for a grant
Wondering how things will go in Ghana & feeling nervous
Learning how to relinquish control & rest more/trust in God
Some nervous energy anyway
Reading "The Connected Child" over again
Gazing lovingly at photos of my two precious youngest sons
Praying for them often
LONGING to finally be with them
LONGING to finally touch them
LONGING to finally connect face to face...

My Cutie Pies
Luke Emmanuel at the beach in Ghana - taken just a few weeks ago. He's so beautiful - takes my breath away.
This is my little cutie, Nathan Godfred. Isn't he precious? I can't wait to snuggle
him up!
Luke Emmanuel is the one in the middle.
We are thrilled about our boys & just want to hop on the next flight & go to them right away! But, we are trying to exercise patience and to wait a little longer.
JOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Today, August 11, 2009, John & I have become the amazed & thrilled parents of two more
beautiful boys!
beautiful boys!
Luke Emmanuel is five years old & Nathan Godfred is four. They are so lovely & precious to us & we are touched so deeply that God is entrusting them to our hearts & care.
Tears of joy!
Excitement!
Wanting to jump on the next plane & rush to them...but needing to wait just a bit longer.
So in love with our boys!
Pictures to come soon...

Another Update
Our next try at court in Ghana is going to be Tuesday, August 11. I have no idea how it will go but I DO know that my all-powerful, loving Heavenly Father has got it all under control. Phew!

On My Mind
We are still waiting...but are trying to plan a bit more. We've pretty much decided that Mark & I will go to Ghana whenever it is time to go. John will stay home & continue to work so that he can save his vacation time for when we are finally all home together & need the time to adjust to being a family of five.
I am definitely intimidated to travel to Ghana alone with a seven year old, but I am also so excited to finally get to meet my boys. How I long to cup their dear little faces in my hands & to smile all my love & joy into their eyes. Face to face at last.
Dear, dear sons, how precious & loved you are. I'm coming for you just as soon as I can!
