Busy, Awesome Day

Today was a very busy but great day! When I arrived at Beacon House in the morning, Bernard was there so it was decided we would take the kids to the clinic to get their physicals done necessary for visa applications. Mark, Luke, Nathan Godfred & I went as well as two Beacon House staff. It took all morning but the boys were weighed, measured, blood pressure tested etc. Nathan took it all pretty much in stride but Luke was pensive & at least a little scared. It pains me to see him stressed but it is a joy to finally be here to comfort him. Mark found all the waiting around hard, but he was a very protective & concerned big brother when they were in the examining rooms. At one point, a family sat very close to Nathan & Mark went right over and moved him closer to all of us - it is SUCH a joy to see him claiming the boys as his own and desiring to keep them safe & secure. Thank You Jesus! I am sure they will have plenty of scraps in the future, but a good foundation is being slowly built right now.

As soon as we got back from the clinic, I rushed to prep. the last bit of paper work & then left for the Embassy appointment. I was nervous (my hands are literally still trembling even as I type this.) but I think it went OK, maybe even well? Now it is time to wait and trust in my Heavenly Father and to continue to get to know my boys.

They are precious, precious, precious! All three!

SO glad you're able to update from Ghana! I'll be checking daily. Sounds like things are going well and seems like you've made it through jet lag pretty smoothly. I can't imagine your excitement (or poor John's anticipation with his entire famiy in Ghana!) Love you all!
